Atlanta is known for being the "heart of the south"
and offers a stellar museum called the Margaret Mitchell Museum. Atlanta was also
host to the 1996 Olympics and has an exciting 21 acre Olympic Park. We also recommend
that you visit the Martin Luther King jr. Natural historic site, which hosts some
500,000 visitors each year. The site is where he went to church and also contains
the memorial site in which he was buried. If you enjoy history from the 1700's
and 1800's we strongly recommend the Antebellum Plantation at Stone Mountain Park.
It is comprised of buildings that were built between 1790 and 1845, which represent
an authentic, pre-Civil War Georgia plantation. Atlanta has many fine 5 star hotels
located near most of these attractions. You may also want to check out Atlanta's
Fernbank Science Center which offers visitors the opportunity to either view a
star show at the planetarium or take a stroll through the Fernbank Natural History
Museum. Now that Mars is as close to Earth as it will ever get for the next 6,000
years you will not want to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. We have high
quality hotels located only 12 minutes away.
