Calgary
Calgary is one of Canada’s fastest growing city with a population of nearly
1 million people. The prairie rolling hills with the Snow Cap Rocky Mountains
in the background, make this an ideal city to live in. Calgary is the main pipeline
in the oil industry in Alberta and it has boomed the economy. It was in 1894 that
Calgary became a city and in 1914 oil was discovered in nearby Turner Valley.
Calgary is known as a “Hick Town” with a huge amount of Cowboys living
in the city. The presence can be felt throughout the city as it has an arena named
the “Saddle dome” and also is host to the famous Calgary Stampede.

This amazing theme park is situated just a short drive from Calgary. It is regarded
as Western Canada’s largest family amusement park. Western Canada's largest

and many more attractions.
Calgary Tower
This famous landmark in Calgary has virtual tours, including a revolving restaurant
located at the top. The tower was constructed in 1967 and was the first of its
kind to be earthquake resilient in the western provinces.
Calgary Exhibition and Stampede
This exciting outdoor festival is known to be the best outdoor show on earth.
Every year this extravaganza brings in 1 million visitors.
