AVIATION SAFETY OVERSIGHT: At this time, several international carriers each operate one direct, once a week flights to Paris, Zurich or Brussels from either Yaounde or Douala, and one carrier flies five days a week to Paris. All flights are always heavily booked well in advance of the travel date.

As there is no direct commercial air service between the United States and Cameroon by local carriers at present, nor economic authority to operate such service, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has not assessed Cameroon's Civil Aviation Authority for compliance with international aviation safety standards.
