Paphos is a small town capital of southern Cyprus area of Kato Pafos. Legend tells that the Greek goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite, rose from the sea foam at Paphos. The culture of the town mostly centres on Greek art and myth and early Christian saints, evident on mosaic floors, and frescoes, and artefacts.

Getting specifically to Paphos from outside Cyprus entails one to land at the Paphos International Airport. It houses two terminals that can operate 5 to 6 take-offs at the same time, serving annually 1.5 million people, most of whom use cheap car hire at Paphos. It is located 10 kilometres southeast of Paphos.

Popular historical tourist attractions include the Paphos Castle, the Tombs of the Kings, the Pillar where St. Paul was tied and whipped, the catacombs in the Saint Solomoni Church, and the Rock of Aphrodite. Restaurants can range from a KFC to a 5-star luxury hotel restaurant.
