Phuket international Airport lies 32 kilometers from the city centre. The airport serves the whole island and is responsible for the advancement of the tourism industry in Thailand. The airport is next in line to the Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok) as the busiest Thai Airport. The airport is accessible through the Kasatri Road, coming from downtown Phuket.
