The Vancouver International Airport is located in Richmond, British Columbia. As the second busiest airport in Canada, it handles 17 million passengers annually, most of which use cheap car hire at the Vancouver Airport. It is one of the eight Canadian airports that offer pre-clearance to the United States.

It also accommodates cargo airlines, as well as helicopter landings. More airlines from Asia, the Middle East, and Australia have proposed to serve the airport in the near future.

The airport hosts a plethora of shops and amenities for the utmost convenience of the arriving or departing passenger. One can take care of everything at the airport—from dry cleaning to travel accessories—everything is in one place. There are newsstands, book and music shops, dental and medical clinics, and even official merchandise for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

The airport is only 12 kilometres from the Vancouver business district, and most travelers and business folk use limousine rentals and cheap car hire at Vancouver Airport. Budget car rental facilities are located at the ground floor of the parkade.
